The Robin's Nest Nature School was founded with the intention of providing nature-based education for children in the Mableton and surrounding areas. Our vision is to foster an intimate relationship between children and their environment to empower them to live mindfully and intentionally.
With mother nature as our curriculum we are able to shape our ecological worldview and deepen our love and respect for the world around us so that we may live in harmony with the natural world. Through the realization that we are deeply connected with everyone and everything around us, we are able to develop empathy towards people and the planet and work towards a sustainable future.
Our forest school model allows unrestricted playtime, which we know promotes resiliency, creativity, risk-taking, and problem-solving. Our teachers value inquiry-based, emergent curriculum. We have a holistic approach to teaching that fosters physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Our purpose is to nurture the compassionate, inquisitive, empathetic beings that we know children to be. We aim to equip them with the skills not just to survive but to thrive throughout their lifetime. We maintain a 7:1 student to teacher ratio to ensure each student is individually supported and guided.
